Clorox Helps Flush Out the San Francisco Toilet Torcher

Mar 26, 2009

Since November of last year, over 30 portable toilets have been set on fire in San Francisco, resulting in over $50,000 worth of property damage. So far the arsonist has not been caught.

But now, Clorox is on the criminal’s trail. Clorox has teamed with the San Francisco Mayor’s Office and S.A.F.E. to initiate  “Operation Flush the Outhouse Arsonist” and listed a $5,000 reward and a years supply of toilet products for information leading to the arrest of the arsonist.

“As the nation’s leader in toilet cleaning and a local company, Clorox feels strongly that toilets and bathrooms should be cleaned, not destroyed…especially in our own backyard,” said Dan Gagen, marketing manager for the Clorox Family of Toilets Products. “You could say that it’s a crappy job, but somebody’s got to do it.

Clorox Family of Toilet Products is also deploying a Potty Patrol on Tuesday, March 24 that will be stationed on the streets of San Francisco to distribute information about the effort and details on how residents can plunge into action. (See details below).

POTTY PATROL DETAILS

WHO: The Clorox Family of Toilet Products Potty Patrol

WHERE: On the corner of Sansome and Pacific (San Francisco, CA)

WHEN: 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 24, 2009

The Toilet Bowl of Rights

With a line-up of toilet cleaning products, Clorox strongly supports the rights of every toilet. The company holds these truths as self-evident that all toilets are created equal with certain inalienable rights:

– Right to be clean

– Right to be sanitary

– Right to smell fresh

– Right to not be set on fire

Hopefully with Clorox’s help San Francisco toilets can be safe once more. If you have any tips to contribute to the search, visit www.Clorox.com. Comment below and let us know what you think of this bathroom injustice!

Who in the world would go around setting toilets on fire? That’s just bizarre. I live in CA and didn’t hear about that one on the news. Hope they caught him. Bathroom injustice for sure.

That is a lot of fire damage. I am amazed that toilets can set on fire. Good to know that clorox can stop fires.
