Five Less Obvious Uses for Toilet Paper

Mar 5, 2009

Toilet Paper
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what you’re supposed to use toilet paper for. However, toilet paper has infinite uses and here are some helpful ones when you’re in a pinch!

1.Toilet paper is an excellent substitute for tissues.
So, the next time you quiver at the sight of an empty tissue box, just grab a roll and all will be right again.

2. Scribble that golden idea onto a piece of toilet paper before it’s lost forever!
Many of history’s greatest writers have written their most famous lines on napkins, and bathroom tissue can serve the same purpose. So, if there’s no paper around, grab some toilet tissue!

3.Great for dusting or cleaning.
Unlike some other cloths, toilet paper is bright white, so it’s very easy to see how much dirt has accumulated. This way, you’ll immediately know when you need a new piece (so that you’re not putting the dirt you just collected right back onto the object being cleaned). Since it’s so soft as well, you won’t have to worry about damaging your furniture.

4. If you’ve got a spill and there are no paper towels in sight.
Toilet paper too is soft and absorbent, and it is therefore an ideal candidate for defusing this kind of situation.

5. Protecting your floor when moving furniture
Place it beneath the legs of your furniture so that the floor is not scratched when the furniture is moved.

Hmm..never thought about using them under furniture legs. My husband will rip off little pieces and put them on his face where he cut himself shaving.

I like to use it to remove nail polish or apply astringent when I don’t have cotton balls!
