Five Must Have Items in Your Bathroom

Mar 15, 2011

A sparkling clean, well-functioning bathroom starts with 5 essential products!

Wondering what ToiletPaperWorld’s five must-have items for a complete, well-functioning bathroom are? Shopping on a budget and looking for the most essential items? Look no further as we outline the five products you need most in your bathroom.

1)      Bathroom Cleaners – Whether you prefer items from trusted brands from Clorox, Arm & Hammer, or Scrubbing Bubbles, you need a good bathroom cleaner to help keep your bathroom clean. All purpose bathroom cleaners are the ideal choice if you are looking for a tile cleaner, grout cleaner, shower cleaner, and toilet cleaner in one. Try an eco-friendly cleaner if you are looking to be environmentally conscious. A good bathroom cleaner is essential for keeping your home lavatory spotless and its most sanitary.

2)      Paper Hand Towels – Paper hand towels are ideal for use when looking for a disposable, more sanitary alternative to traditional cloth hand towels. Paper hand towels are ideal for hand drying purposes or for use as cleaning cloths.

3)      Bathing Soap – A bathroom wouldn’t be a bathing room without a good bar soap! Try Camay soap, Dial soap, or Dove soap in your shower or bathtub to keep your skin soft and moisturized without compromising cleanliness.

4)      Bath Mat – Afraid of slipping in your bathtub or shower? Invest in a good bath mat! Complete with suction cups on the bottom to ensure it will stay in place, water will drain away easily.

5)      Toilet Brush – Imagine what cleaning a toilet would be like without a toilet brush? You probably don’t want to.  A good toilet bowl brush combined with the use of a toilet bowl cleaner or all purpose bathroom cleaner will help make sure your toilet and fixtures will remain clean and sparkling.

The use of these five products is guaranteed to keep your bathroom in its best working order! We have bathroom cleaning products as well as other bathroom essentials at ToiletPaperWorld!

You’re forgetting the most essential thing for a bathroom: toilet paper! Another one to not forget is a plunger. When I moved into my first place on my own, it was less then exciting when my boyfriend came over and clogged the toilet. It’s such an easy essential to forget, but I’ve always bought one since!

I don’t think i’ve every seen someone with paper hand towels in their bathrooms (in a private household). It makes sense though, doesn’t it?!

By good bath mat, I hope you mean one that sticks. I made the mistake of buying one that didn’t have the rubber on the bottom, stepped out of the bathtub and went down pretty hard. Definitely an essential to function in the bath area.

So true! You don’t want to be without a plunger in a time of need.

I like to keep my cleaning supplies all together under my kitchen sink, but I guess it makes sense to keep the bathroom cleaners, closest to where the mess would be, huh?

I like to keep a plunger (because you never know) and also have a toilet mat too!

Are rug mats required for the bathroom?

Depends, rug mats are great for keeping bare feet cozy in the colder months. Something that will dry fast is recommended.

Great recommendations! For a while we didn’t have a bath mat in my apartment. It was a hassle to have to mop the floor anytime someone took a shower or bath.

A toilet brush is key to keeping things nice and clean in the bathroom. Without one… Well, I don’t even really want to think about that!

I agree with your 5 must haves in the bathroom. However, I’d also like to add that you absolutely must have a toiler plunger. It could be a life saver, espeically when you have friends over or even when you’re at someone’s house and you clog the toilet. You don’t want to have to go the owner of the house and tell them you clogged it.

Along with these items, I always need toilet lid covers! It gets too cold in our home during the winter, so my cover comes in handy in keeping it a bit warm. Do you guys sell any of those? I think I’m in need of a new one.

Great list. This reminds me that I need to get a new toilet brush because my dog decided he wanted to use it as a toy. Gross, huh?

  12. Molly - June 27th, 2011 at 5:24 am

Yuck! Luckily my cat hasn’t found ours yet! But she still drinks from the toilet like a dog does, ew!

There is no way I could even shower without having a bath mat. I think I would slip and kill myself getting out of the shower!

Really don’t think you can limit this list to 5 things. Shower Curtain, Toilet Paper, etc. There are so many necessary things in a bathroom. Great list nonetheless.

Well I don’t have only 5 things inside my bathroom, but yes those five on the list are all present but I have curtains, scented candles and some toys for my kids when they go shower.

You never know when a good sticky bath mat is going to come in handy. I had a couple of knee surgeries last year, and taking a shower was terrifying! My bath mat was the only thing that gave me enough confidence to actually get in without the fear that I’d slip.

Hate to be a stickler, but you did not list toilet paper as a must have item for your bathroom!
