This is brilliant, a really fun idea for a first anniversary. Must get this for my brother and sister in law next month.
Even though it seemed that majority of the class opposed the idea of gifts, or specifically material gifts, they should still be given. We shouldn’t cheat ourselves out of having feelings for friends or family or having those feeling reciprocated. We should still give gifts because of the connections that are made, but we can still focus on making environmentally conscious present choices.

That’s funny! I never thought about substituting a “real” gift idea for a roll of toilet paper! My sister received a bouquet of paper flowers that I thought was really sweet. I would have preferred the TP because it would come in handy for the future!

I’m sure this would make for a great gift for someone that has a good sense of humor, which makes for everyone I know since all my family and friends have a good sense of humor.
I didn’t know about all the different gifts intended for specific anniversary years until I got married. This is a great idea and my husband would have gotten a kick of out this since he can’t live without his TP.

Great post! I think that finding the right gift can sometimes be difficult. What I think is that people tend to like unique gifts that are hard to find and not sold in stores. People like the gifts more this way since they cannot be replaced.
