Toilet paper parties, giveaways, and more for Thomas Crapper Day.

As part of our Thomas Crapper Day celebration, we paid our favorite blogger Carissa Rogers in Charmin Ultra Strong to submit a post about her latest toilet paper adventure. Happy Thomas Crapper Day to all the toilet paper aficionados and plumbers who celebrate with us. See our giveaway for a chance to win a case of toilet paper as part of our celebration!

Interested in blogging for ToiletPaperWorld.com ? Contact molly@cicgo.com for details. We pay in toilet paper!

Turning Forty And Forgetful | Surprise B-Day Toilet Paper Party!

I have a group of fantastic girlfriends in my tiny town. We get together as often as we can… pretty much any excuse will do. We play ‘old lady basketball’ once a week, and let’s just say: we’re a hoot on the court! We meet for book club monthly, okay.. it’s more like magazine-club, but we bring food that’s heavy on the calories, and yummy on the tummy.

We’ve been known to toilet paper a grandma on National Toilet Paper day. And one time, we donned black clothing, fake moustaches and panty-hosed our heads in order to ‘abduct’ one of our friends off to her ‘baby shower’.

So it should come as no surprise that we needed a heckuva great idea when one of the ‘sister wives’ (shhh don’t tell our husbands we named ourselves) was turning 40.

A few months back this friend, I shall call her Amy-is-Amazing-but-forgets-a-lot, forgot to stock up on toilet paper. And at the same time she had taken in a family of abandoned quail baby birds (see? How amazing is that?). The gang kept stopping in to visit the birdies and play with them.. and enterprising Miss ‘forgets-a-lot’ gently suggested everyone bring her a roll when they came to visit the birdies!

And so…

We took it upon ourselves to create a ‘Forty & Forgetful’ themed surprise birthday party for her. Everyone was assigned to bring one roll of TP for the honored guest, as well as a ‘slightly’ inappropriate gift for the soon to be ‘old lady’… You know: reading glasses, stool softener, denture cream.

Everyone came thru with flying colors. The best gift by far was a print out of ‘how-to duct tape your boobs’, along with several different packs of duct tape in sparkly girly colors (1 for every occasion)!

Toilet Paper & Diet Mountain Dew Cake!

And since Diet Mountain Dew is her current drink of choice.. we made a special cake JUST for her out of Toilet Paper and DMD. (Thanks goes to April for MAKING the cake!)

What everyone did not know is that I had a separate plan with an alternate-theme for the party. I figure every forty year old woman needs to hear from those who will NEVER forget her. I called this part the Forty & NEVER Forget theme.

I emailed, Facebook’ed and wrangled up several friends of hers from way back in her ‘college’ days. Asking them to send me a letter about how and why they could NEVER forget her. The surprise letters provided a meaningful moment to a very silly party. We ended with her mother reading her own ‘Never Forget’ letter.

Wait, no… that wasn’t the end, because it was time to celebrate by eating Thai Food, since the whole thing was held at birthday girl’s favorite Thai restaurant!

Don’t you wish you were part of our goodncrazy girlfriend mom-group?!

A freedom camper in New Zealand left behind tell tale toilet paper when illegally going to the bathroom in the wilderness. Freedom camping, camping outside of campgrounds with bathroom facilities, in New Zealand has been prohibited in certain areas because of a growing human waste and litter problem.

The camper denied that she had gone to the bathroom, but the toilet paper on the ground matched the roll of tissue hanging out the back of her van. An officer confronted the offending camper.

Thames Coromandel District Council spokesperson Craig Birkett told the Waikato Times, “The officer said, ‘You can’t really deny it now can you?’ And she said, `Well, I guess not’.”

While freedom camping is not prohibited everywhere in New Zealand, there are certain areas of restriction. All illegal campers staying overnight in prohibited locations now could be fined $200.

Moral of this story: Don’t leave your toilet paper behind! ToiletPaperWorld.com endorses the responsible disposal of toilet paper.

$1 Million Dollar Toilet Paper Scam: Employees from a septic tank company, FBK products, called elderly customers selling unnecessary products including toilet paper, detergent, and soap.

There seems to be no shortage of scandals involving toilet paper.

Three people from Florida are facing up to two decades in prison for their alleged involvement in a $1 million toilet paper scam. Employees from a septic tank company, FBK products, called elderly customers selling unnecessary products including toilet paper, detergent, and soap.

From the Miami Herald,

More than a dozen customers were told they needed special toilet paper to avoid ruining their septic tanks because the federal government changed regulations on toilet paper. The federal government does not regulate septic tank products.

ToiletPaperWorld.com will never try to get you to buy toilet paper for false reasons! Scott brand toilet paper is made to be safe to use with septic systems. Just don’t use huge globs of toilet paper for a single flush to prevent back ups.

No toilet paper is a universal problem- buy in bulk to never run out of toilet paper again.

Out of toilet paper?

Head to the bathroom, and don’t notice until the last minute that there’s no toilet paper??? What do you do?

A) Start buying toilet paper in bulk

B) Look under the sink for more toilet paper

If you answered B- you are just like blogger Tracy Beckerman, who writes a column called Lost in Suburbia. She posted this picture to her Flickr stream, but her household wasn’t yet out of toilet paper. They just didn’t change the roll.

If you ever find yourself in this situation, choose your battle! You may be living with inconsiderate people who don’t know how to reload toilet paper when they use the last square. Or you may have forgotten to buy any, if you live alone.

Toilet Paper Loses to Canned Goods - Guest Post From Adulting Blog by Kelly Williams Brown

Kelly Williams Brown recently posted a funny infographic on her adultingblog.com about how you always need toilet paper, so you might as well buy in bulk. We featured it in our post, Proof that Buying Toilet Paper in Bulk is Better.

We loved how her use of visuals make her hilarious points even more funny, so we asked her to guest post on our blog! Kelly writes the Adulting blog, which chronicles the step-by-step process of becoming an adult (Step One: Make your fricken bed.)

Toilet Paper Faceoff

After I posted about the ongoing necessity of toilet paper on my blog, it got me thinking about life’s other durable goods and how they stack up. There was but one way to settle this, and that is an NCAA March Madness™-style bracket. I do not have time to think up 64 things, so it was a relatively small tournament. But still! These you-may-as-well-buy-a-bunch-because-you-will-eventually-use-them goods waged a fierce battle for my heart and mind.

Round One: No. 1 seeded Toilet paper easily knocked eighth-seed Staples out of the contention, because no one goes out in a snowstorm for staples. In the round’s only upset, Dish Soap (7) edged out Lightbulbs (2), because it’s better to be in the dark than have food poisoning from improperly cleaned dishes.

Canned goods (full team title: Pinto Beans and Other Canned Goods That Can Be Eaten After The Apocalypse) beat Chapstick (6). Even though having dry lips is really and truly awful, it does not compare to having no food, even if it’s just humble Pinto Beans. Fourth-seed Underwear ultimately prevailed over Q-Tips (5), mainly because I know it’s laundry time when I run out of underwear, whereas Q-Tips have no such pull on my actions.

SEMI-FINALS: Toilet Paper knocked out Dish Soap based on the fact that I’ve never bought more than one thing of dish soap at a time, and that just seems weird, while Canned Goods earned a very slight victory over Underwear, on account of that whole eating-is-necessary thing.

CHAMPIONSHIP: Toilet paper and canned goods clashed mightily, and each held the lead (in my mind, where this tournament is happening) for good stretches. On an emotional level, I prefer toilet paper. But ultimately, the Red Cross doesn’t recommend you have toilet paper in your emergency kit, and no one ever has toilet paper drives (*editor’s note – ToiletPaperWorld recently donated to a toilet paper drive, featured on Daytime TV), or gives you $2 off admission to an event with donation of two toilet paper rolls. CANNED GOODS WIN!

Mathematical proof that buying toilet tissue in bulk is the best option. Bulk toilet paper available for household and commercial use at ToiletPaperWorld.com.

I recently came across this fabulous infographic proving the need for bulk toilet paper. As we have said before, toilet paper doesn’t expire and you can never have enough of it.

From the Adulting Blog by Kelly Brown

Blogger Kelly Brown on the Adulting Blog posted this graph recently with her take on buying in bulk:

Let’s look at a graph that illustrates toilet paper need: at every point between infancy and death, the answer to the question, ‘Do I need toilet paper?’ will always be ‘Yes.’

Just go ahead and buy in bulk.

That’s it folks, simple and sophisticated, with mathematical proof that buying toilet tissue in bulk is the best option. We have toilet paper for both household and commercial use available at ToiletPaperWorld.com. Buy a case of toilet paper for fast delivery in 2-3 days.

The Creator of Charmin's 'Don't Squeeze the Charmin' advertising campaign recently died at age 74.

The Creator of Charmin’s ‘Don’t Squeeze the Charmin’ advertising campaign recently died at age 74. After a battle with Parkinson’s disease for five years, John Chervokas died Saturday of a stroke in Manhattan.

Chervokas said that seeing women testing fruit’s softness in supermarkets inspired him to write the creative advertising campaign. He saw that women touched produce and other items, testing for softness. Mr. Whipple’s character discouraged shoppers from squeezing the Charmin.

As a junior copywriter at Betnon & Bowles in 1964, he coined the slogan, “Don’t Squeeze the Charmin!” The advertising campaign featured television commercials with Mr. Whipple, played by actor Dick Wilson. With the catchy slogan and popular television commercial, Mr Whipple became one of TV’s best-known characters, and Charmin became the best-selling toilet paper by 1969. Mr. Whipple was even resurrected as a spokesperson for Charmin toilet paper, see the image to the left.

Before Mr. Whipple, came the Charmin Lady, which we featured a few weeks ago. Now, the Charmin advertising campaign is based on bears in the woods.
